HIM Informatics Director

Facility Description : National for profit hospital system.

Reports to : Senior HIM Informatics Director

Position Description : Responsible for the implementation of the Horizon Patient Folder (HPF), Horizon Physician Portal (HPP) and the Spheris dictation system. Participate with the physician champion in physician preparation prior to conversion. Deploys the HPP/HPF Advanced Learning lesions to the facility and ensures at a minimum the super users complete the lessons. Trains the end users under the direction of the corporate trainer- super user responsibility. Ensures physicians and their staff are trained including onsite training in the physician's offices. Assists the corporate IS Department to understand the physician's needs as ultimate end- users of a new system. Makes rounds after go live to discuss the system with the members of the Medical Staff and trouble shoot issues.

Clinical Reimbursement Manager

Reports to : HIM Director

Position Description : The Clinical Reimbursement Manager is responsible for performing  quality reviews on medical records to validate the ICD-9-CM codes, DRG  appropriateness, missed secondary diagnoses and procedures, and ensure  compliance and accuracy of the MS-DRG and APR DRG. The Clinical  Reimbursement Manager will continuously evaluate the quality of clinical  documentation and monitor the appropriateness of physician queries with  the overall goal of improving physician documentation through physician  education and feedback and achieve accurate coding to support the optimal  allowable reimbursement. The Clinical Reimbursement Manager works closely  with the Coding Compliance Coordinator and Coding Compliance Manager to  provide coding staff with feedback to assure coding uniformity,  consistency and accuracy with ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 guidelines, UHDDS,  sequencing guidelines, Federal and State regulations and the American  Hospital Association coding guidelines and its publication Coding Clinic  and AMA's publication CPT Assistant. The Clinical Reimbursement Manager  works in conjunction with the Associate Director of Coding &  Compliance to develop coding in-services and institutional coding policies  to ensure that coding policies complement the official coding rules and  guidelines.  
Required Education/Experience:  RHIT/RHIA  and CPS or CCS preferred. 2-3 years experience coding at a supervisor  level at a acute care facility.

Coding Compliance Manager

Position Description : Clinical Reimbursement Manager, relo. Exp. Possible
1.The  Medical Records department has approximately 67 full-time  employees.
2. In terms of the EMR systems, we utilize 3M. We also  have a hospital grown Hybrid record system. In addition to a state of the  2 screen monitor via the 3M application and manual paper systems as  well.
3. We have 15 Managers.
4. One Coordinator is  assigned to all Inpatient Coders and one Coordinator reports to the  Outpatient Coordinators.
5. Mangers will report to the Associate  Director and Director of Medical Records.
6. We are currently  looking for two Clinical Reimbursement manager and coding Compliance  Manager positions to replace the previous incumbents.
7. All  employees are working at 37.5 hour shift, however, changes may be made to  accommodate operational needs.  

Required Education/Experience: RHIT/RHIA  and CPS or CCS preferred. 2-3 years experience coding at a supervisor  level at a acute care facility.

Additional Skills Desired : Monarch  Tools/ Star Reports/ Case Mix index progress w/unbilled experience  desired.
